UAE vs Afghanistan 6th T20I Match Review || UAE T20I Tri-Series 2025

While we are witnessing one great match after another in the UAE T20I Tri-Series 2025, we also saw a thriller match yesterday. The game was sometimes in favor of one team and sometimes in favor of the other team. Although Afghanistan won, the UAE also did not leave the match till the end. This was a match that entertained all the fans a lot. Afghanistan defeated the UAE by 4 runs, and with this defeat, the UAE’s journey in this series ended.

Ibrahim Zadran was leading the Afghanistan team in the absence of Rashid Khan. Afghanistan came to bat first, and the start was a little slow. Both Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran batted sensibly and took the score forward. Both waited for the bad balls in the beginning and hit them out of the boundary. Due to this, Afghanistan’s score in the power play was 40 runs without any loss. After the power play, both the batsmen started playing aggressively and also completed a partnership of 50 runs in the 8th over. Ibrahim hit a six and a four to Farooq in the 10th over, due to which Afghanistan scored 73 runs in 10 overs without any loss.

Gurbaz got out after hitting a boundary in the 12th over, and Afghanistan lost their first wicket. Gurbaz and Ibrahim gave Afghanistan a great start, and the duo shared a 98-run partnership. Haider Ali bowled Ibrahim on the first ball of the 13th over, and Simranjeet Singh dismissed Mohammad Ishaq on the last ball of his spell. Karim got out on the last ball of the 17th over after scoring a brilliant 28 runs in 14 balls at a strike rate of 200. Gulbadin Naib also played a good innings of 20 runs in 14 balls, and Afghanistan’s score reached 170/4 at the end of the innings. This time too, Haider Ali bowled brilliantly for the UAE and took 2 wickets for 23 runs in his 4 overs.

Chasing a target of 171 runs, UAE got off to a good start when Alishan Sharafu hit the first ball of the innings for a boundary. UAE kept moving the scorecard at a good run rate, due to which UAE’s score reached 79 runs at the loss of 1 wicket at the halfway stage. Wasim got out after hitting a six in the 11th over. Wasim played a good innings of 44 runs in 28 balls. Muhammad Zohaib also hit 2 fours to Gulbadin, and UAE scored 15 runs in his over, and UAE was scoring runs continuously in this way.

When Asif Khan came to bat, initially he was struggling against the spinners. And by the end of the 17th over, he was only on 7 runs in 13 balls. But he regained his rhythm. UAE had to score 43 runs in the last 3 overs, then Asif hit a six and 2 fours in the 18th over, which resulted in 16 runs in that over. And in the very next over, Asif also hit a four. When the UAE needed 5 runs from 3 balls, they started looking like winning, but Farid bowled very smartly, due to which the match slipped out of the UAE’s hands.
