After the UAE vs Pakistan 5th T20I Match, which was played on 4th September, we have got two teams going to the final of the UAE T20I Tri-Series 2025. Pakistan defeated the UAE on the Sharjah ground due to Abrar’s match-winning bowling spell (9-4) and Fakhar’s superb batting (77* off 44). Due to this victory, Pakistan will now play the final of this series against Afghanistan on 7 September. And now the UAE is out of this series after losing to Pakistan. However, the UAE still has one match left against Afghanistan, which will be played today on the Sharjah ground.

Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first. Sahibzada Farhan started the innings by hitting 2 fours in the first over itself. Saim Ayub and Sahibzada Farhan hit a six each, but Farhan was out on the next ball after hitting the six. Saim got out in the fifth over, but Fakhar hit a six in the same over. Pakistan Captain Salman Agha got out after hitting a four in the next over, due to which Pakistan’s score was 50 runs at the loss of 3 wickets at the end of the powerplay.
Mohammad Haris hit a four in the 7th over and a six in the 8th over. Haris was dismissed by Haider Ali on the last ball of the 10th over. As a result, Pakistan’s score was 74/4 at the halfway stage. Haider gave another blow to Pakistan by dismissing Hasan Nawaz in the 12th over. Fakhar Zaman was taking Pakistan’s score forward but was not getting any support from the other end.

Then Mohammaddd Nawaz supported Fakhar and took the score forward. The duo together made an unbeaten partnership of 91 runs. Fakhar hit a four in the 13th over. After this, Nawaz hit a six on the leg side in the 16th over, and Fakhar hit a six on the first ball of the 17th over. Fakhar completed his half-century by hitting a four in the 18th over.
But Pakistan’s team gained momentum when Nawaz and Fakhar together hit 42 runs in the last 2 overs. Nawaz hit 3 fours and a six in the 19th over. After that, Fakhar hit 5 consecutive fours in the 20th over. As a result, Pakistan’s score was 171/5 at the end of the first innings. From the UAE’s side, Junaid Siddique, Muhammad Rohid Khan, and Dhruv Parashar took one wicket each. Haider Ali bowled well and took 2 wickets for 17 runs in his 4 overs.
In reply, the UAE came out to bat and had a good start. Alishan Sharafu hit a four in the first over and another four in the second over. UAE’s Captain Muhammad Waseem hit a six in the 4th over. Both batsmen played sensibly and scored runs, due to which the UAE’s score reached 41 runs without any loss.
As soon as the power play ended, Abrar Ahmed dismissed Waseem. Due to this wicket, UAE’s scoring rate fell, and by the halfway stage, UAE could make only 58 runs at the loss of one wicket. In the 11th over, Alishan hit two consecutive sixes to Nawaz, but Nawaz dismissed Ethan Dsouza on the last ball of the over. Abrar took 2 wickets in the 13th over. In the 14th over, Alishan again hit two consecutive sixes, due to which Alishan also completed his half-century. Abrar dismissed Harshit Kaushik on the last ball of the 15th over.
Shaheen Afridi then took the important wicket of Alishan, as the UAE now needed 59 runs in the last 3 overs. Haider Ali and Dhruv Parashar hit a few boundaries, but that was not enough as the UAE fell short by 31 runs.
With this win, Pakistan has reached the final of this series, where they will play against Afghanistan. On the other hand, the UAE has been eliminated from this series due to this defeat.
